News88 Blog Of The Day 02/07/2005: How to get a progressive agenda - and the Greens - back into the Democratic Party
It is said that Al Gore's campaign was too "moderate" and it attracted Greenies and Liberals, Democrats, and Progressives to Ralph Nader and his Green candidacy, not realizing that a third party isnt going to win in this country unless you are smart to get rid of the Republican Reactionaries In Congress that cannot stand uniform methods to reform the voting process (because they lose if we ever did this.). But here now I must take a look at some diehard cold facts about Al Gore's campaign in 2000:
1. People Vs Powerful Politics.
2. Social Security and Medicare in a lockbox.
3. Keep the environment clean and safe and secure for the past, present, and the future away from dirty polluters.
4. Avenge Corporate America and help Working America.
5. A strong middle class that fights for peace and prosperity at home and abroad.
AND MUCH MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM ON THIS LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now take a look at everything Bush is doing since he "won" Election 2000 in a nailbiter close election in which he lost the popular vote the first time around.
That ought to rip the shills off of Ralph Naders slogan from 2000: "Both of the major parties are corrupt and Al Gore is nothing different than George W Bush."
Now i must say that to give Ralph Nader this unibolical equivilent is downright stupid. Nader should be ashamed of himself. Al Gore was a founding member of the DLC - But despite that, and his conservative to moderate voting record as Senator and Representative in Tennessee - He still ran one of the most progressive grassroots campaigns in a great number of years for the Democratic Party.
Gore VS Bush, Nader?
Whos more corrupt Ya Fool?

P.S. Also, dont forget to vote in my News88 Team's online poll - between the World Net Daily Headlines andthe Buzzflash Headlines at the bottom of this page - and every page at this site. I must also clarify that i and my team knows it is early for 2008, but that is not the point because wewill have future polls on both sidesmuch later. In Fact, we willprobably do this once a year through 2007. Or once every 6 months. Butnothing less or more thanthat. but we will also clarify that this is only a poll - AND ONLY THAT! It does not mean my News88team intends to care about a primary three years away. It is just a sample unscientific opinion poll of whom anyone, regardless of affiliation in party or ideology, supports for President in 2008.
