News88 Blog Of The Day 04/06/2005: Governor Senate And House 2005-2006 Election Cycle

Yesterdays state: Massachusetts.
Todays state: Vermont.
Tomorrows state: New Hampshire.

*Vermont and New Hampshire are the only two states in the Union as of currently that elect their Governors every two years, instead of every four years, like pretty much every other of the 48 states, plus DC Mayor and PR Governor.
Governor - James Douglas (R) is up again for another two year term in 2006.
Senate - Senior Senator Patrick Leahy (D) is not up again until 2010, but while Junior Senator James Jeffords (formerly R, now Independent, and also affiliated with the Veterans Party of America in Vermont) is up again in 2006.
House - AT-LARGE - Bernard Sanders (Independent, and also affiliated with the Veterans Party of America in Vermont.)
